I've met a lot of people who do the craziest things when they're depressed. Cutting themselves, speaking death into themselves by saying they're nothing. When I even speak about God, they don't wanna hear it.

Let me show you why and how God can take all the pain away, better than any Anti-Depressent out there.

I used to be really bad with depression.

People hated me, pushed me to the side.

When I went to church, no one even payed any attaention to me.

Yeah, people have gone up to me at church and shook my hang saying "God bless" but that's the commercial way of doing things at a church.

People need to befriend anyone who shows up to a church!

Am I the only one at my church who does this? (I'm asking myself this question)

See, I was going for the wrong reasons.

To be honest, no man or woman can be fully depended on to help you.

The only one that can help is Jesus Christ, God and the Holy Spirit!

I used to hate myself for who I was.

I used to beat myself up, literally.

I slapped myself in the face, clawed at my own cheeks, and hit myself.

I was being ignorant and was destroying myself physically and spiritually.

The enemy had a stron hold on my life at the time.

When I came accross this man in the bible named "Job" and saw what he has gone through... Losing everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! He lost his wife and kids, his home, and all his ritches. He tore his wardrobe and shaved his head out of all this stress of losing everything, and the only thing he said was:

" Naked I came from my mother's womb,
And naked shall I return there.
      The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the LORD."
In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

Job 1:21-22

After all that, and he did not blaim God for a single thing, but only praised him!

I don't know about you, but the majority of people who go through anything that's even close to this, they start blaiming God, and they start thinking that there's no hope.

But if this man was able to do what no man was able to do, then we can surely do the same with our smaller trials!

And I'm not gonna lie, there are people who've gone through worse and still do.

And you can't blaim them for losing all hope.

But know this: for every trial you face, there's a person out there who's going though worse and praising God in the midst of all this!

The Jewish people from the holocaust went through so much, yet, there were a few who still trusted in God and did not give up.

God has taken all the depression out of my life and I'm now happier than ever!

Not gonna lie, even though a person may be set free from depression, it's gonna come back stronger, but that's when we should prepare ourselves daily for this!

As long as we keep positive, saying: "Even though I'm going through this now, I see a light at the end of this dark tunnel of no hope and despare. I know that a HUGE blessing is coming!"

You will ALWAYS overcome anything that faces against you.

You are something great!

And there's no need to inflict pain on yourself.

Pain brings more pain.

Even when it may be releiving to you, the pain is still there and won't go away, unless you face it directly and put all your trust in God.

Depression is Demonic, and it's not a good thing at all.

It wasn't easy at first, but I learned to just trust in God and keep positive at all times!

So, no need to worry.

If you need a friend who will always be there, an Anti-Depressent with no side-effects, Someone who understands you more than you understand yourself, and someone who removes all pain and fills your heart with nothing but Joy... Befriend Jesus! He suffered beyond what anyone could ever endure.

He was whipped, spat on, ridiculed and bashed by the very people he came to save.

Jesus, he had no servants, yet they called him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

See, Jesus loves us so much, he sacrificed everything for us!

Jesus knew that he would be ridiculed by the world, even for many years after his sacrifice!

But he did it anyway.

Despite all the ridicule and hatred towards him from the world, he was willing to do it anyway 'cause he loves you that much!

It's one thing to die for someone, but it's another to die for a number of people (that couldn't be counted by a normal person) who hate you and do nothing but go against you in every way.

I hear people say all the time: "I wish I could sacrifice myself to save this world."

Well, Jesus did that already, but the world is getting worse because of biblical prophecies.

Jesus did what he did for us!

He did it to save us and to remove all loneliness and depression out of us!

HE IS THE PURE ESSENCE OF LOVE.

Once you have had a taste of a portion of that love, you will never be the same again, guarinteed!

It's hard at first, but in the end it's all worth it.

There may be several people who have gone through what Job did, but no one has ever gone through what Jesus has gone through.

God bless you all.

You are a champion! You are something great!

You are beautiful, you are handsom!

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
God Loves, Jesus Loves you, and the Holy spirit Loves you!

That sounds like something Jefferson Bethke would say xD

Your words are truly a blessing and inspiration and I am thankful to have read this. Sometimes people go through things that they don't understand like what happened with Job. Sometimes like with Job it's a test of faith to see how serious you are, while other times I think maybe it allowed for certain things to happen so you can be a witness/help to somebody going through the same thing. God made you you for a reason and through your experiences and faith in God maybe you are the only one who can reach someone that wouldn't listen to somebody else who couldn't really relate not having gone through it. I hope that made sense, but I just mean to say don't get discouraged. :highfive:

this is really well written,, but there are some things i don't agree with. Sometimes, even when you spend all your time praising God, things still get worse. i sound so cinical,, but it's what i kno. I'm a strong Christian, i spnd all my time praising God,, yet my depression is getting worse, ive turned back to self harming because it feels as though God has done nothing. And even if people in church accept you and make you fel so welcome out of their own hearts for God,, it doesn't make everything bright and shiny. I'll note write up my story one day and post it,, but untl then,, please know that i'm really glad for you, and this is a really good piece,, i just personally dont agree with some of the things you have written

I know you may not agree with certain things I said, and I'm not gonna lie, Depression comes back from time to time, but we need to recognize that it is demonic and we need to constantly pray against it and seek God dilligantly.

-hugs- This reminds me of a song By Lecrae and another song by Reliant K I think. It's hard to tell people they are loved and have them receive the words as anything other than a lie.

best thing to do when times are tough is to turn to God and give EVERY burden of yours to Him. I'm currently going through finals week and I'm very much in anticipation to get home, I gave up my first exam to the Lord and I did far better than I thought.

Two verses you could've added as part of your message to followers going through depression/hard times:

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" - Jeremiah 29:11

this is very true. i also have the depression battle at times, but God always sees me through it. I try to tell a friend who is also battling, but she turns a deaf ear preferring instead to go to the deaf ears of gods of her own creation. it's really sad
